Behind the work

Curiosity, in practice.

A place for the things I notice, and the things I make.

Sunlit sandstone, an ocean pool, and pale blue water on the Sydney coast.

Looking closely.
Leaving room.

Photography is a way for me to explore places and express my creative side. I’m drawn to a strong composition, unusual light, and images that feel like somewhere you could step into.

Before a trip, I like to think about a theme: a feeling, a colour, a thread to follow. Then I leave room for the place to change what I had in mind.

The work takes shape again afterwards. Choosing what stays, finding a rhythm between images, and turning a group of photographs into a collection with its own atmosphere.

Photography is the starting point here, with space for film, personal series, and other creative experiments when they have something to say.

Step into a collection

The process

Explore. Edit. Shape.

  1. 01 / Explore

Start with an intention. Follow light, composition, and the unexpected.

  2. 02 / Edit

Keep the photographs that hold attention. Give each one a reason to be here.

  3. 03 / Shape

Build a sequence. Find the pauses, the connections, and the closing frame.

Tools

Whatever serves the idea.

The camera, the edit, and the sequence each have a part to play. The image comes first.
